Meet The Trainer

Personal Training
I have been certified through the American Council
on Exercise since 1997 and am also a member of IDEA. I
began my personal training career at a health club and then decided
to begin working independently so I could better service my clients. My personal training experience includes working with
men and women who have
diverse health and fitness needs including body fat reduction, body toning and
muscle building, functional training, postural awareness and post rehabilitation.
Yoga
I became trained in a fitness based yoga in 2000 and
enjoy teaching small groups and individuals the benefits of fitness based yoga.
Pilates
I
began my training in the Stott method of pilates in 2003. I
have been trained to instruct on both the mat and reformer and am
also trained to teach pilates to clients with various injuries or
limitations. Pilates is a great form of exercise for
anyone who has back-related issues and especially for anyone who
would like to improve their posture and strengthen their body from
the inside out.
Wellness
Coaching
In
January of 2006 I took the wellness coaching
training with Wellcoaches and am in the process of going through
the certification process. The coaching training has
strengthened my skills in goal setting and has really helped clients
achieve and maintain their goals. Coaching
can be done in addition to personal training or on it's
own.
My
individualized attention, continuing education and knowledge of fitness and motivational skills
allows me to assist my clients in achieving and maintaining their fitness goals. I strongly believe in incorporating mind and body to
help my clients stay Healthy and Active for Life!
